韓國汽車廠的企圖與野心，在這幾年來真是有目共睹，尤其以最大規模的現代汽車集團表現更是箇中翹楚！
根據最新消息報導，以現代汽車集團為首的韓國境內五家汽車廠，去年全球總銷售輛達5219659輛，創下歷史上首次突破500萬輛大關的新紀錄！
這項紀錄比起2004年銷售量4516512輛的業績增加了15.6%，締造全球當今汽車工業國少有的高度成長紀錄，目前全球汽車業普遍處於不景氣的狀況下，韓國汽車廠的表現可以說是逆勢大漲！
根據韓國政府單位的統計，韓國汽車品牌的全球銷售量大增，有相當重要的比例，是因為以現代為首的汽車廠，利用海外工廠的出口量大幅增加。去年的韓國國內的汽車銷售量為1133954輛，僅比2004年增加了4.3%，但相較之下，出口量卻激增了19.1%！，顯見韓國車廠的全球佈局已經達到效果，其中現代汽車在北美洲的生產據點也大幅提昇其產能，而在印度廠的大筆投資，預計未來三年內效益也將更為明顯！
韓國汽車業界的領頭羊-現代汽車的銷量比前一年增加了11%達2533695輛，其中包括內銷的570814輛和出口的1962881萬輛。
