韓國HYUNDAI汽車喊出在五年內要成為全球第五大的口號絕非虛名，除了最近在中國與北美洲獲致優異的銷售成績之外，連帶於歐洲推出許多產品，也讓更多歐洲消費者肯定這家潛力無窮的韓系車廠！
根據最新統計數據顯示，2005年韓國HYUNDAI汽車集團（包含KIA）在全球的銷售量，已經超越法國PSA集團（包括CITROEN與PEUGEOT兩大品牌），正式成為全球第七大汽車廠，HYUNDAI全球去年約賣出360萬輛汽車，超越PSA集團去年的340萬輛，不過HYUNDAI並不以此自滿，預計在推出高級品牌汽車，加上 KIA進一步深化其RV為主的銷售策略，還有中國市場表現將更為優異的前提下，預計HYUNDAI將在2010年超越大眾集團（去年520萬輛）與DAIMLER CHRYSLER集團（去年450萬輛），正式成為全球第四大汽車集團！
