南韓不只在藝術的表現上可圈可點，據調查顯示2005年世界第五大汽車生產國的席位，也由南韓一手包辦。
韓國汽車製造者協會表示，去年南韓的汽車產量約370萬，比之前相較提高了近6.6％。這個數字就佔了世界總產量的5.6%。 近年來南韓汽車業不斷提升品質與形象，現在能有這番成就，絕非天外飛來的好運。
在2002年遙遙領先南韓的中國大陸，已不能忽視這個後起之秀。去年中國以570萬的汽車產量，排名世界第四，只比韓國稍稍高出一個頭。 至於始終位居第一的美國，去年總生產近1190萬輛車，頗有誰與爭鋒的架式。
其他諸如日本、德國、法國、西班牙、加拿大、巴西、以及英國，都是前十名中的佼佼者。
