印度第二大房車製造商HYUNDAI，計畫在亞洲前景最為看俏的汽車市場推出更多的豪華高級房車。HYUNDAI負責人Ashok Jha在Pune替i10小型車揭幕時向媒體表示。
對印度市場來說，一些在韓國推出的Hyundai高級房車，在當地深具吸引力，Jha說。印度HYUNDAI打算將韓國製造的高級房車拆解後，再運送至印度的Tamil Nadu組裝廠拼湊組裝。HYUNDAI目前在印度推出的豪華高級車Sonata，採直接從韓國進口的方式。
Jha強調，2359cc豪華房車Sonata在印度深得民心，而目前究竟要從韓國引進那一個車款在印度組裝，Jha尚無法給予肯定的答覆。HYUNDAI在韓國推出的豪華高級車款，還包括Grandeur和Sentinnel。其他車廠，如BMW和VW，同樣也看重印度的豪華高級車市場。
此外，有鑑於HYUNDAI運動休旅車Santa Fe在歐美市場受到廣大消費者的喜愛，Jha不排除在印度推出Santa Fe休旅車的可能性。HYUNDAI之前在印度推出Terracan和Tuscon兩款休旅車，前者雖然已退出當地市場，但Tuscon已在當地佔有一席之地。
