    HYUNDAI要吞下美國這塊大餅!

南韓HYUNDAI下星期就要洋洋灑灑邁入第40週年,但2007年的特別之處並不僅止於此。在今年六月HYUNDAI和旗下的KIA,在戰況激烈的美國汽車市場,攻下了5%的市占率。

身為南韓首席車廠,HYUNDAI於20年前初次踏上美國的土地,經過了多年的苦心經營下,HYUNDAI在上個月售出49368輛汽車,KIA為26288輛汽車,兩者加起來在美國累積了5.2%的市占率。汽車市場分析師一般認為,當車廠的市占率超過5%時,他們有機會在不久的將來超越10%。

隨著產品形象大幅提升,HYUNDAI雄心壯志地定下了在2010年達到165萬輛汽車的銷售目標,其中HYUNDAI100萬輛、KIA 65萬輛,成就8.6%的市占率。事實上這一切絕非HYUNDAI的春秋大夢。HYUNDAI在去年七月前於美國試場累計了500萬輛汽車的銷售數字。

這個月HYUNDAI的中型房車Sonata更達到100萬輛的銷售成績。這麼一來,HYUNDAI在美國市場就擁有三種最受歡迎的車款,除了Sonata之外,還包括了在1996年「退休」時累計114萬輛消售量的Excel,以及至上個月為止售出122萬輛的Elantra。
