根據最新外電消息顯示，HYUNDAI自動車原廠即將於韓國當地舉行慶祝建廠40週年的活動，而且也將宣布預計2010年成為全球第五大汽車集團的願景與目標。
根據韓國HYUNDAI集團表示，旗下的HYUNDAI與KIA兩大汽車品牌，藉由全球佈局與推出更多新車，加上在中國與印度及東歐等地擴張產能，在2010年以前將達到每年六百萬輛的新車銷售量，而成為全球第五大汽車集團，1967年創立於韓國的HYUNDAI自動車，當年以十億韓圜的資本成立，今年預計全年汽車產量將達到約四百萬輛左右，並且已經在包括美國、加拿大、中國、印度斯洛伐克、捷克與韓國等國家建立整車生產線。
