南韓車廠HYUNDAI在海外組裝廠的出口產量，即將要領先韓國組裝廠的出口車數量。HYUNDAI在星期一公佈第一季的銷售成績，他們在海外的總汽車銷售量558565輛當中，有49%約273821輛汽車是出自海外組裝廠。
這樣的比例與去年同時段相比，銷售量成長了1.2%，若與去年一整年的成績比較，則攀升了3.4%。2008年第二季HYUNDAI位於中國和印度的組裝廠會正式開始運作，到時候對車廠的全球汽車產量、海外汽車銷售量，都會超越在南韓當地的表現。
據HYUNDAI在一月發佈的發展計畫中顯示，HYUNDAI預計今年海外汽車銷售量將會達到244萬輛汽車，其中有53.7%的汽車來自海外的組裝廠。HYUNDAI在中國、印度、土耳其、美國都設有汽車組裝廠，其位於捷克和俄國的組裝廠，預計也會在2011年正式運作。
屆時HYUNDAI光靠海外組裝廠的生產力，就能達到一年200萬輛汽車的產量。
