山東日照將成為HYUNDAI亞洲海外最大引擎生產基地！

根據最新消息指出，HYUNDAI於山東省投資的威亞汽車引擎廠（正式公司名稱為「威亞汽車發動機(山東)有限公司」）之第二引擎，於日前正式動工興建，完工後該廠將成為HYUNDAI在韓國以外亞洲最大引擎生產基地。
根據威亞引擎廠表示，全新建立的第二引擎廠設計年產能達到30萬具，加上原有一廠產能，該廠所在的山東日照每年將為HYUNDAI自動車製造達40萬具汽車引擎。
威亞引擎廠一廠在2006年11月動工興建，並且於2007年四月竣工量產，到今年六月下旬為止第十萬具引擎已經正式下線，全數出口海外市場，剛剛動工的第二引擎廠，所生產的汽車引擎除了持續增加HYUNDAI海外整車廠的供給，也開始供應HYUNDAI-KIA集團中國主要合資整車廠使用，包括北京現代汽車與位於江蘇省鹽城市的東風悅達起亞汽車廠。
