韓國車廠HYUNDAI計劃在印度推出完整的i系列車款，這樣的信心並非空穴來風。HYUNDAI i10在印度受到廣大消費族群的喜愛，因此決定再接再厲，在今年10月到12月之間推出i20車款，並在接下來的幾年之間陸續推出i30和i40。
HYUNDAI已全神貫注準備接手成為印度最大的汽車製造商，並且積極擴展在當地的生產線。HYUNDAI目前是印度第二大汽車製造商和出口商，排名僅次於印度車廠MARUTI SUZUKI。HYUNDAI相當看中印度市場未來的發展，車廠最近才宣佈印度是他們的生產出口重鎮。
HYUNDAI i10在印度的成功，給予車廠無比的信心。根據HYUNDAI總經理HS Lheem指出，他們因此相當看好其他i系列車款在當地的表現。「我們若能呈現出完整的系列車款，i30和i40在這印度一定會大賣，這些新一代的車款相當適合印度迅速成長的市場。此外我們也打算在未來幾個月內，推出搭載新引擎和手排系統的i10。」Lheem說。
由於印度當地的油價也面臨飆高的趨勢，HYUNDAI目前也考慮在當地推出瓦斯車或其他替代燃料車款，以應時局。
