在不久前，日本TOYOTA自動車率先於當地市場發售3+1人座的都會輕型小車iQ，不過這款新車的產品定位，並不是瞄準發展中國家的平價車市場，根據最新外電消息指出，韓國最大汽車品牌HYUNDAI日前傳出他們也將推出類似車款，而且產品定位也將低於當前旗下尺碼最小的市售車款HYUNDAI i10，而且新車售價據稱會十分具有競爭力...

這款廠內目前暫名為Green Baby的都會輕型小車，除了將具備HYUNDAI自動車品牌一向相當優勢的產品性價比外，在空間機能與實用性方面也將以優於TOYOTA iQ為目標，而且也將以進軍包括歐美汽車市場的短程通勤或接駁市場為目標。
此外，這款新車在量產上市時，雖然最終的引擎配置尚未確定，但包括目前在市售版HYUNDAI i10新車上的汽油1.2L直列四缸16氣門引擎（最大馬力為66hp）也在選項中，不過也傳聞HYUNDAI自動車正在研發一具小排氣量的共軌柴油引擎，將更適合這款新車進軍歐洲汽車市場。
這款新車將率先於韓國與歐洲市場發售，至於北美市場目前則在評估與市調中，但這款新車最快也要明年底前才會正式量產。
