廣州車展再來電！北京現代計畫推出電動車亮相

HYUNDAI Elantra在年底有望國產化登台。

先前曾經傳出HYUNDAI集團針對旗下汽車產業未來的發展方向進行修正，針對旗下兩大品牌HYUNDAI與KIA在動力技術上的區隔，未來HYUNDAI將著重於插電式油電混合動力（Plug-in Hybrid）與氫料電池（Fuel Cell）等環保動力發展，而KIA則將專注於純電動車的發展。但是根據中國媒體所傳來的序尋表示，北京現代很有可能會在11月底舉行的2011第九屆廣州車展中，推出一款以Elantra為基礎開發而成的電動概念車款，似乎與先前的傳聞有所抵觸？

HYUNDAI曾以i10為基礎推出實驗性質的電動車。

北京現代是HYUNDAI與北京汽車共同參與的合資車企，而對於中國政府大力獎勵、推動電動車發展的情況下，總部就地處於北京的自然更能夠掌握相關的脈動與趨勢，預料屆時在電動車上市之時，將會以全新品牌的身份來進行推廣，

現階段除了北京現代之外，已有許多的外資車企準備在中國推出電動車款，其中包括GM、VW與FORD集團都已確定會以推出新品牌的方式在中國主推電動車，例如VW集團便計畫分別與一汽及上汽共同合作推出「開利」及「天越」兩個品牌來專責推動電動車的市場版圖。

另外由於HYUNDAI集團對於中國市場十分重視，目前除了已經擁有三座組裝廠外，也正積極與中國政府申請第四個組裝廠的興建批准，但正如同AutoNet汽車日報先前的報導中所述，目前中國政府對於外資車企的擴張都要求必須與當地的合作企業推出所謂的〝外資自主〞品牌，才有可能獲得興建新廠的許可，而VW集團會推出「開利」及「天越」兩個品牌來專責推動電動車，外傳也是基於相同的因素考量。
