2013底特律車展搶先報：Genesis子品牌首部曲？HYUNDAI HCD-14 Concept

近年來HYUNDAI集團於全球車壇的優異表現可說有目共睹，於2012年全年也寫下約712萬輛的銷售表現，不僅更為鞏固了全球前五大汽車集團的地位，且更打算比照TOYOTA旗下LEXUS、NISSAN旗下INFINITI、HONDA旗下AUCRA等高級子品牌的方式，預料將以現行Genesis車系為基礎、衍生出全新的高級取向子品牌。
而根據消息指出，HYUNDAI集團目前正積極開發兩款全新的產品，都是朝向高級車路線的前提為開發重點，隨著2013年底特律車展將於1月14日揭幕，近日HYUNDAI也宣布將推出一款全新的概念車款、並釋出了一張車側角度廠照，而這款定名為「HCD-14 Concept」的全新概念車款，由廠照中可看出其具備四門Coupe的車身線條，藉由低伸的車頭、大傾斜角度的A柱、刻意家低的車頂線條與短截的車尾設計，創造出頗為動感的意象，且原廠更表示此車在動態表現方面也會具備高水準演出，以與其亮眼的車身造型相互呼應。
此外HYUNDAI原廠同時表示，在這款HCD-14 Concept車內也將導入稱為「3-D gesture-based technology controls」的系統，藉由類似於Microsoft X360家用遊戲主機般的Kinect手勢操控介面、來進行車內各項電子用品的控制。目前雖說HYUNDAI並未公布更為詳細的相關資訊，不過一般預料這款HCD-14 Concept未來在量產後可望將成為全新高級品牌Genesis的代表作品，而若是有更進一步的消息、本報也會繼續為讀者追蹤報導。
