    不要跑車,多點性能車才有用!HYUNDAI銷售策略急轉

韓國HYUNDAI-KIA集團在2014年繳出全年銷售近800萬輛的佳績,穩座全球第五大車廠。而其中HYUNDAI汽車更是有496多萬輛的成績,同比成長4.9%。因此在2015年HYUNDAI不僅要達到銷售505萬輛的目標,在各車系方面也要推出豐富的產品來吸引消費者,而其中性能車型就是最好的銷售利器。

即便跑車可助長品牌形象與證明技術實力,但在銷量上並沒有顯著的幫助,且開發與行銷成本的花費,就可能會稍微動搖車廠資本。對此英國HYUNDAI BOSS Tony Whitehorn就提到,目前HYUNDAI已經不打算積極推行跑車,將轉向專注性能車款的開發。而這與先前歐洲HYUNDAI BOSS Allan Rushforth提到的高階跑車開發計畫,策略上完全不同。

對此,Tony Whitehorn表示HYUNDAI現在將目光放在WRC(World Rally Championship、世界拉力錦標賽)的未來發展。因為從這場賽事中所散發的品牌性能形象,絕對比一輛跑車還要更高,且消費者也較能負擔同類型的性能車,完全有助銷售增長的整體表現。而相信這也是2014年底HYUNDAI汽車從BMW M Division挖角前總工程師Albert Biermann的原因之一。

至於2014年再度重返WRC賽場的HYUNDAI Shell World Rally Team,雖然在2014年的成績僅車隊第4名(HYUNDAI Motorsport N則為第7名)。不過在2015年第一個分站比賽時(蒙地卡羅),一舉拿下5、6名不錯的佳績,相信今年度剩下的12場比賽HYUNDAI Shell World Rally Team車隊的i20 WRC廠車,一定能夠跑出更好的成績,並順勢打開HYUNDAI性能車型的知名度。
