    全都自己來!HYUNDAI Santa Cruz Crossover Truck量產將借用Tuscon底盤資源

眾所周知,美國市場最暢銷車款是集空間、載貨、4WD、大扭力於一身的Pick-up貨卡車,而在此之中FORD F-150更是已經連續38年成為美國最暢銷貨卡、連續33年蟬聯最暢銷車款的頭銜,因此不僅美國本土車廠會針對北美市場推出對應的車型,就連外國車廠也會來分一杯羹,所向準的都是美國貨卡市場龐大的商機!

在美國,除了CHEVROLET、GMC、FORD、DODGE等美國本土車企有貨卡的產品線,包含日本TOYOTA、NISSAN、德國VW等都有為美國消費者準備貨卡車系,而現在就連近年穩定站上全球前五大汽車集團的HYUNDAI,也在2015年1月的底特律車展上破天荒的推出了一款名為Santa Cruz Crossover Truck Concept的概念車,除了宣示進軍此一領域的決心外,量產意味也相當濃厚!

Santa Cruz Crossover Truck Concept的概念車擺明就是針對北美市場最熱愛的貨卡級距而來,在推出之後獲得了車迷高度迴響,讓HYUNDAI高層不得不好好考慮量產的可行性,而且日前高層的內部會議中,車迷的期盼終獲解答,Santa Cruz Crossover Truck以高達90%的支持率確認量產。

儘管確認了生產態勢,不過目前HYUNDAI集團內並沒有傳統貨卡資源,若是不尋求與其他車廠的資源合作,那就得從現行車系的底盤平台來做基礎,而近日有消息來源指出,Santa Cruz Crossover Truck將會借用Tucson的底盤資源。

其實這樣的推測並非空穴來風,因為當初HYUNDAI在定位Santa Cruz Crossover Truck時,就已經提到有鑑於購車年齡層的下滑與使用習慣的改變,因此這輛融合了Crossover跨界與Truck貨卡兩項元素的新概念將能滿足美國新世代購車族群對於貨卡的全新見解。
