近年來興起的Crossover跨界車風潮，不僅多年下來絲毫沒有退燒跡象，反倒更加蓬勃發展，主因就在於新世代消費者都會買單，因此幾乎成為各家車廠推出新車型的不二人選，眼見競爭對手紛紛推出都會型SUV，名列全球前五大汽車品牌的HYUNDAI也想加入此一戰場。

HYUNDAI在先前即確定了旗下首款都會小型SUV將定名為「Creta」，預定今年下半季率先在印度上市，並以「全球戰略車」的定位逐漸往其他市場販售。而繼日前Creta內外觀設計草圖曝光後，近日Creta的廬山真面目也正式在印度登場。

其實在Creta正式露面之前，就有國際媒體猜測，Creta應該就是源自於2014北京車展所推出的ix25 Concept為基礎，而如今見到實車樣貌，基本上就與概念車相去不遠，外觀均是採用「Fluidic 2.0」流體雕塑2.0的設計語彙，有著更為鮮明的線條輪廓，包含六角形的水箱護罩、後掠式的銳角行頭燈、車側上揚的摺線等，都讓這輛緊湊身形的都會SUV有著更為動感的視覺效果。

Creta雖然是以新興市場為出發點，但其實目標仍是著重全球戰略，因此車身結構剛性可一點也不馬虎，採用了AHSS（Advanced High Strength steel）與UHSS（Ultra High Strength Steel）兩種超高強度鋼材，打造了原廠稱之為「Hive Structure」的蜂巢式環形結構，大大提升了車身剛性，同時NVH噪音防制工程也在儀錶板、引擎室、車底板等處使用了吸引材質，優化了車室內的寧靜程度。

車身尺碼雖然原廠尚未公布，但對照ix25 Concept概念車，Creta應該會擁有相當的4270×1780×1630mm的車身尺碼，及2590mm的軸距，配備重點包含投射式大燈、LED日行燈、17吋鑽石切割式輪圈、Smart key智慧晶片鑰匙、Push button Start引擎啟動按鈕、6具氣囊。

動力部分提供一汽二柴引擎，包含1.6 Gamma Dual VTVT汽油引擎（123hp）以及U2 1.4 CRDi、U2 1.6 CRDi VGT渦輪增壓柴油引擎（123hp），變速箱提供6速手排或自排變速箱。Creta的誕生，也必須面對市場上包含RENAULT Duster、NISSAN Terrano、FORD Ecosport等對手。
