    不以平價市場為目標?HYUNDAI入門跑車短期內恐無緣一見

身為全球第五大汽車集團的HYUNDAI,可說是無論在節能、舒適、豪華、運動各領域上皆有著亮眼的水準表現,不過如果提到性能跑車的話,恐怕HYUNDAI在這方面便有著較為保守的發展態度;特別是HYUNDAI原廠英國區老闆Tony Whitehorn在近日所表達的內容下來看,似乎要在短時間內看到屬於HYUNDAI品牌的性能跑車仍有點難度。

針對原廠對於未來性能跑車的發展走向,Tony Whitehorn做出回應表示,儘管先前擔任歐洲區執行長的Allan Rushforth曾表示,原廠內部正有意打造一款最為AUDI TT與MAZDA MX-5對手車款的跑車,不過就現階段來說,我們還是會繼續維持觀察的狀態,畢竟就目前情況來看,要打造一款能夠銷售成功的跑車,就某方面來說仍有著一定的困難程度。

同時,Tony Whitehorn也接著提到,以過去發展來看,確實鮮少有主要以打造跑車而賺大錢的品牌,儘管目前這個領域中有著全新的AUDI TT與大改款的MAZDA MX-5,不過以目前整體萎縮的市場發展來看,這還是一塊較為艱難不易發展的領域。

值得一提的是,或許就Tony Whitehorn所提出的發言會令人覺得似乎無望看到HYUNDAI的入門性能跑車,不過事實上,從近年集團策畫的品牌形象區隔來看,HYUNDAI積極向上朝豪華領域的HYUNDAI,似乎所持的野心,恐怕不大會是鎖定入門市場,而是打造更為高端的性能跑車;至於,所謂的入門跑車,在「肥水不落外人田」的情況下,預料也有望讓集團中的第二大品牌KIA來接手打造,而最終發展結果又將如何,不妨也讓我們稍微期待一下。

其實KIA最早曾在90年代末期,藉由LOTUS Elan車型的架構,打造出專屬自己品牌的入門小跑車KIA Elan
