必須克服雪地的考驗！HYUNDAI Ioniq 自駕車成為2018韓國冬季奧運的官方指定車

韓國平昌2018冬季奧運只剩半年就要開幕，根據韓國媒體報導，HYUNDAI 的自動駕駛車 Ioniq 將成為官方的指定用車，但韓國平昌在冬季相當寒冷，也會飄起雪花，究竟 Ioniq 自動駕駛車能不能克服如此嚴峻的氣候呢？
這輛官方指定的自駕車是 HYUNDAI 在 2016 年洛杉磯車展中發表了 Ioniq 自動駕駛概念車，車上裝有汽車智能巡航系統的前向雷達、LiDAR 光學雷達技術，以及車道保持輔助系統的攝影機來偵測到路情況，並搭載 HYNUDAI 自主研發的自動駕駛系統。
為了克服韓國冬季寒冷天候的天然挑戰，HYUNDAI 集團旗下子公司 Mnsoft 導航系統公司必須做出高準確度的車用導航地圖，必須精確地收集道路寬度、交通號誌、坡道與彎道等重要因素。此外，考慮到天候因素，原廠必須將自動駕駛車上感應器的靈敏度調低，因為在冬季奧運時，依照過往經驗，平昌周邊的道路常常被白雪覆蓋，會影響感應器的偵測結果，恐做出錯誤的判斷。
在 2018 年韓國冬季奧運上，這輛自駕車將取代司機，將來自世界各地的選手們從首爾載往平昌。平昌市是 2018 年東季奧運會的主辦城市，根據 Google Map 上顯示的資訊，平昌位在首爾以東約 128.7 公里（差不多是台北到苗栗的距離）的一個山地度假勝地。
