    進一步提升安全性,HYUNDAI發表全新前座中央氣囊

雖然隨著科技進步,汽車也導入了許多先進主動安全防護系統,但「氣囊」這項配備不但沒有被淘汰,反而越裝越多,這也代表了在事故發生的當下,氣囊對於車內乘客的保護作用是無庸置疑的。而針對側面撞擊,前座側氣囊與車側簾式氣囊就是最具效果的保護措施,如今HYUNDAI更進一步推出新款前座中央氣囊,進一步增加車輛的安全性。

事實上,HYUNDAI並不是第一個推出前座中央氣囊的品牌,GM集團早在幾年前就已經導入同樣的配備,其最重要的目的便是在側面碰撞發生時,保護前座的乘客。顧名思義,這顆氣囊放置在駕駛座的右側,在撞擊發生時便會展開,防止前座的兩名乘員在車輛遭撞擊後相互碰撞導致受傷。即便是副駕駛座沒人的情況之下,這具氣囊依舊會展開,防止駕駛遭到來自右方任何的碰撞。

雖然功能與目的相同,但HYUNDAI表示,它們所製造的前座中央氣囊乃是全球最輕,導入了自家的專利技術來維持其運作的可靠性,另一方面也減輕重量並縮小尺寸,在這個前提之下,HYUNDAI的前座中央氣囊比其他競爭對手清了大約500克的重量;在這個對車重錙銖必較的年代之下,不無小補。同時較小的體積,也讓座椅的設計維持一定的靈活性。

HYUNDAI表示,全新前座中央氣囊有望讓前座乘客因互相碰撞而導致受傷的機率大幅降低80%,同時這項技術也預計在未來導入旗下包括HYUNDAI、KIA以及GENESIS等品牌的車款當中。
