Google悄悄地為現代車款內建導航系統提供了巨大的智慧與功能升級

現在應該沒有太多人會使用車子內建的導航系統，而是使用而是選擇Google Maps、Apple Maps等線上導 航系統和線上圖資，因為現在大多數新車都支援Android Auto 和 Apple CarPlay手機連結功能，然而，對於那些堅持原廠供應的原生系統的使用者來說，現代汽車現在將讓車子內建導航的智慧大升級，變得更好用，而這一切都得歸功於Google。新的Google Places功能添加了超過2.5億個位置的資訊。從從 2026 年開始，現代將在旗下大多數車款上，開始使用基於 Android Auto技術支援的資訊娛樂系統，而更新後的系統會添加這2.5億個位置來自Google的照片以及評論和營業時間等資訊。
不過現代汽車尚未將Google Maps添加到內建導航系統中，也未開始使用Android Automotive作為其資訊娛樂系統的基礎。相反的，其標準 ccNC 資訊娛樂系統的導航功能已做了更新，包括加入 Google Places功能。這意味著現代車款中控的內建導航，會有世界各地的主要興趣點顯示功能，將顯示與智慧手機上Google Map地圖所取得的相同資訊，包括圖像、地點描述和營業時間，該平臺包括全球超過 2.5 億個地點。
這個小而有意義的升級為現代車款的儀錶導航增加了一些額外的實用應用程式，無論是在尋找附近的咖啡店、百貨公司或餐廳，直接造訪Google的地點數據可以更輕鬆地評估駕駛的下一步移動方向。有鑒於Google地圖每天處理超過1億次更新，現代車款的駕駛人很快會直接從儀錶台上獲得更新的本地指南。
這項新功能已透過現代汽車旗下 Kona、Santa Fe、Tucson、Ioniq 5、Ioniq 5 N 和 Ioniq 9 等車款的軟體更新而推出，現代汽車沒有提及其他系列車型是否也會更新，包括Google Places。然而，現代汽車集團確實在去年年底確認，KIA和 Genesis 兩品牌的車款也將獲得 Google Places的功能。
從明年開始，現代汽車與Google將深化合作，因為這家汽車製造商正準備推出其名為 Pleos Connect 的下一代資訊娛樂聯網系統。這是基於Android Automotive的系統，將透過未來現代車型儀錶台螢幕的獨立顯示幕運行。
預計一款新的電動 SUV 將成為第一款使用該系統的現代車款，這款車產品定位將在該品牌產品系列中高於 Inster，並與在歐洲銷售的 Bayon 緊密結合，並且可能會與即將推出的KIA EV2 共用零件。
