2005現代汽車國際金卡納大賽正式授旗！

日前，HYUNDAI現代汽車贊助，並且由中華賽車會與中華奧會，正式對即將代表台灣參加2005國際金卡納大賽的選手們正式授旗！

賽車運動界的盛事一路從最高層級的F1、WRC都是最多人看的賽車運動，而這兩項世界頂級的賽車運動卻是最少人參加的，因為這兩項運動都是最商業及最霸權的賽車運動，而最近出現了F1的對手A1GP，A1GP是一項賽車運動界的世界盃賽事，其參加的國家高達25國，但它仍是少數人可以參與的賽車，但至少A1GP較F1更稱得上是世界盃賽事的原因在於國家對抗形式，這樣的趨勢亦開啟了賽車運動新視野，另一項值的期待的賽車運動已從沉睡的地底醒來，GYMKHANA是一項基層的賽車運動，它同時是全球參與賽車運動人口最多的一項賽事，這一項入門容易的賽事，一直以來都未受到國際汽車聯盟FIA的重視，直到A1GP賽事的開創性舉動『統一車輛』，讓人重新思考GYMKHANA成為房車賽事的中世界盃的可能性。

2005年9月FIA正式將GYMKHANA納入國際賽事，因為這一股不可擋的發展趨勢正在大亞洲地區發酵，2004年在馬來西亞的雪邦賽車場旁的停車場舉行過一場實驗性的金卡納(GYMKHANA)國際邀請賽，當時有五個亞洲國家派出選手參賽，其中包括台灣，經過這一場實驗性的賽事後，台灣在2005年成功找到贊助並舉辦了正規的國內選拔賽，2005年的9月更在FIA申請到將金卡納(GYMKHANA)納入國際賽的體系中並取得第一屆國際賽的主辦權，賽事中將採統一車輛、國與國的對抗形式進行比賽，第一次推出國際賽的中華賽車會已獲得FIA體系的10個會員國支持，其中包括日本、印度、印尼、斯里蘭卡、新加坡、菲律賓、韓國、香港、澳門、泰國等…這些國家派出的車手都是從選拔賽中脫穎而出的菁英，其中日本派出的車手更是全日金卡納參賽者三萬多人中的佼佼者

這項賽事將是世界第一次的創舉，同時是台灣中華賽車會20年推廣賽車運動的成果，11月10日上午10點30分中華賽車會與台北市政府、體委會及中華奧會在台北市議會一樓交誼廳舉行賽前的記者說明會，亦為台灣代表隊進行授旗儀式，為台灣第一屆國際賽事見證，同時也為台灣代表隊車手加油打氣。
