倫敦車展新車-KIA ED要以Focus與Golf為對手！

不久之前，我們就已經報導過，HYUNDAI-KIA汽車，將在最近推出一輛以歐陸掀背車為首要對手的新車，結果該集團先以KIA ED的名義發表這輛概念車！
其實這輛新車已經十分接近量產，而且沿用來自美規新一代Elantra車系的平台，未來也將為HYUNDAI與KIA兩大品牌共同採用，而且關於ED這輛概念車款，HYUNDAI-KIA也表示這輛新車未來量產之後，競爭對手將包括VW Golf、FORD Focus、OPEL Astra、RENAULT Megane等等車款，除了KIA品牌之外，當然下一代的Elantra歐規掀背車款也將大量採用與ED共用的組件。
這也代表HYUNDAI-KIA汽車將全面進軍歐洲最重要的汽車市場級距的野心與企圖！
此外，HYUNDAI-KIA汽車也表示，這輛全新的ED概念車（車長四米二搭配軸距2650mm），無論是HYUNDAI或是 KIA品牌的量產新車，未來均將在位於斯洛伐克的Zilina廠投產，量產新車將提供三具汽油引擎（1.4升、1.6升與2.0升）與一具柴油引擎（1.6升VGT），車系展開上將提供三門與五門掀背車款，還有旅行車款等等，預計量產版本將在九月份的巴黎國際車展上正式發表！
