根據最新消息顯示，在即將於本月19日開幕的2007年廣州國際車展上，北京現代汽車將發表全新2008年式的HYUNDAI Elantra國產化大改款新車，此外即將於明年進軍中國大陸高級房車級距的HYUNDAI Genesis新車，也將在這個場合舉行中國首演。

北京現代將在本屆廣州車展首演新一代國產化HYUNDAI Elantra伊蘭特車系，車身尺碼為4542×1775×1485mm，搭配2650mm的軸距尺碼，提供寬敞的車室乘坐空間，未來國產化後將提供排氣量1.6升與1.8升的汽油直列四缸引擎，其中1.6升版本可輸出112hp/6000rpm的最大馬力，與達到14.8kgm/4500rpm的峰值扭力，頂級1.8升版本最大馬力可達130hp/6000rpm的最大馬力與16.5kgm/4500rpm的峰值扭力，直接競爭對手為一汽豐田卡羅拉車系，此外在上市初期，原有的現行北京現代伊蘭特房車還會持續銷售平價車款。
