全新HYUNDAI I40即將問世

即使距離2011年3月日內瓦車展還有一些時日，但各大車廠早已摩拳擦掌為下個世代的產品立下典範。全新i40出自HYUNDAI德國Russelsheim設計中心之手，將五門掀背車型雕塑的婀娜多姿。儘管2010年日內瓦車展曾經發表i-flow概念車是否就體現在i40上仍不得而知，但相信它與Sonata的濃厚血緣顯而易見。不過HYUNDAI並未明指i40未來將成為單一車型，持續發展出四門房車樣式；或是化為Sonata的掀背雙胞胎。目前只確定i40就是未來品牌在歐洲的D-Segment產品，即將與FORD Mondeo、CITROEN C5與VW Passat相抗衡。

全新I40出自HYUNDAI德國Russelsheim設計中心之手

HYUNDAI原廠標榜的流體雕刻（fluidic sculpture）設計語彙，與Sonata同樣展現氣象一新的動感大器造型，預期搭載的安全裝置與引擎高效能，也將再次擦亮HYUNDAI，對品牌形象加分有所助益。此外，從1985年第一代Sonata問世至今，Sonata在韓國持續保有最暢銷車款封號，目前全球累計超過500萬銷量驚人。

全新i40預計將和Sonata搭載相同2.0L Theta II MPi汽油引擎，可輸出最大馬力165hp，最大扭力20.2kgm。並標配六速自動變速箱。在2011日內瓦車展後就會正式與歐洲消費者見面。HYUNDAI選擇此時公佈全新i40外觀，宣告意味濃厚；更揭露了將來五門掀背美規Sonata未來推出時的樣貌！
