比下歐系強豪，HYUNDAI Equus Limousine獲選為聯合國秘書長指定座駕

身為HYUNDAI品牌旗艦車款，現行第二代的Equus（車系代號VI）自2009年3月間上市以來，以其大器的外觀造型與奢華的車室內裝，搭配上超過3米軸距長度創造出寬敞的座艙空間，更於半年後再推出軸距增加300mm的Limousine長軸禮車版本，並在不久前推出新年式小改款車型，不僅更加奠定了其於韓國車壇中的頂尖地位，自然也成為青瓦台主人與韓國各大企業領袖的指定座駕。

而近日Equus又多了一項頭銜－聯合國秘書長指定座駕，原因無他、正是因為現任秘書長潘基文就是韓國人，這位自2006年起接替迦納籍Kofi Atta Annan安南、如今邁入第二個任期（至2016年結束）的現任秘書長，日前選定了其最新座駕－車身尺碼達5460×1900×1495mm、軸距更具備3345mm的Equus Limousine，不過這輛Equus Limousine當然與市售版本有所差異，乃是經過德國改裝廠家Stoof International所操刀的防彈版本，其防護等級達到VR7、能夠抵擋7.62mm口徑彈藥的攻擊（如AK-47突擊步槍採用7.62×39mm、M60機槍與M134多管旋轉式機槍採用7.62×51mm），不過這樣一來也讓車重達到3840kg的地步。
至於在動力方面，這輛Equus Limousine防彈車搭載HYUNDAI旗下Tau系列代號G8BE、排氣量5038c.c.的V8 GDi缸內直噴汽油引擎，在導入缸內直噴技術與雙連續可變氣門正時系統後，具備430hp/6400rpm最大馬力與52.0kgm/5000rpm峰值扭力，搭配HYUNDAI自家開發的八速手自排變速箱，確保這輛滿載後超過4噸重的龐然大物能夠有著及格的動態表現。
