    緊握市占率優勢,HYUNDAI將邁向新世代Fuel Cell氫燃料電動車

隨著電動車技術發展越來越成熟,日本TOYOTA也重捨Fuel Cell氫燃料電動車技術,在2014年底推出新世代氫燃料電池車Mirai並將擴大產能與銷售區域,目標追趕過往Hybrid車款締造的霸業。隨後HONDA、CHEVROLET、M-BENZ、BMW等知名車廠也紛紛響應,未來陸續公開氫燃料電池發展成果,不過比這些車廠更早投入氫燃料電動車的韓國HYUNDAI,則是已經準備進入下一個階段。

身為全球第一輛大規模量產的氫燃料電動車ix35 Fuel Cell(北美市場稱Tucson Fuel Cell),自2013年1月開始生產後,其提供給相關環境機構、租賃甚至私人用車的銷售範圍,已經遍及北美、歐洲等地區,HYUNDAI預計將會生產1000輛ix35 Fuel Cell,且絕大部分都會供應到歐洲市場作為推廣,不過那之後呢?

HYUNDAI-KIA氫燃料電池研發負責人Sae-Hoon Kim日前表示,HYUNDAI將在數年內進入新世代氫燃料電動車,不僅會將氫燃料電動車設立在專屬車型(現為ix35/Tucson衍生),2020年後KIA也將從此相同架構發展出品牌第一款氫燃料電動車。不過Sae-Hoon Kim並未透露新氫燃料電動車的型態為何,會延續ix35 Fuel Cell的SUV模式,還是有著其它設定目前仍尚未確認。

不過在續航以及性能表現方面,將比現行ix35 Fuel Cell還要更亮眼。包括高達500miles(約804km)的單趟續航里程,以及110mph(約180km/h)的極速表現,Sae-Hoon Kim認為這些在新世代氫燃料電動車上都能做的到。而現行ix35 Fuel Cell則是具備375miles(約603km)續航里程,以及100mph(約160km/h)的極速表現,競爭力不算差但為了迎向其它對手,HYUNDAI-KIA必須再祭出科技優勢才能與各廠抗衡。
