於2016年芝加哥車展現身的HYUNDAI Santa Fe以其更新後的大燈模組以及內裝中控台多樣尺寸上的選擇都讓市場更加期待它的推出。此外HYUNDAI同時引進智慧型定速巡航系統、車道偏離警示系統、緊急自動煞車系統等最新主動安全系統更讓大家看到HYUNDAI除了在做工上的藝術感，更可以看到其對車輛安全的堅持。而近日Santa Fe更在IIHS（Insurance Institute for Highway Safety，高速公路安全保險協會）進行安全測試，並且得到最高評價Top Safety Pick+

經過此次改款HYUNDAI Santa Fe在正面偏位小區撞擊測試（Small Overlap Frontal Crash Test）中存先前的及格邊緣（ marginal）來到了優良（good），而根據IIHS撞擊測試的標準，在前方碰撞（Moderate overlap front）、側撞（Side）、車頂強度（Roof strength）、頭枕與座椅（Head restraints & seats）等項目中獲得優良（good）的評分才能獲得Top Safety Pick;但要獲得最高階的Top Safety Pick+則必須配備前方碰撞預警系統（front crash prevention）

作為美國最俱公信力的第三方組織IIHS多年來對多款車輛進行嚴謹且公正的測試，因此，對於能在此次測驗當中獲得如此優秀的成績，也代表著HYUNDAI在安全設計上的進步，以讓市場對其設計能有夠多的信心。

對於現今普遍抬頭的安全意識，在改版只著重在外裝、內裝與馬力的部分進行強化已不能滿足駕駛。廠商如何在動力、舒適與安全之中取得平衡勢必為未來廠商在設計車款時所要面對的重要課題，相信在此次Hyundai Santa Fe取得佳績後，國際市場在未來也會更加重視並要求廠商在安全設備上的重視。
