現代汽車將與喬治亞羅再續前緣，重新打造新一代Pony Coupe成為現代未來電動車創意來源

韓國現代汽車集團（HYUNDAI）今年表現不俗，如今已是世界一線大廠，2022年上半年集的新車銷售量已上升至全球第三大，而這般成就的起點，其實正是來自集團核心品牌現代汽車於1974年在義大利都靈車展所發表的Pony Coupe小馬汽車。Pony當年是與義大利設計大師喬治亞羅（Giugiaro） 攜手合作打造，而雙方將再度攜手，現代將與喬治亞羅造型公司（GFG Style，Giorgetto & Fabrizio Giugiaro，簡稱GFG ）合作，2023年推出新一代Pony Coupe概念車，將成為現代汽車品牌下一世代電動車的設計創意來源。
GFG 是由 Giorgetto 和 Fabrizio Giugiaro 創立，前者當年接下Pony 設計重任時，還只是個初出茅廬的設計師。當年，Giorgetto Giugiaro設計團隊，一共創作五輛Pony的原型車，其中一款為Pony Coupe，最後現代汽車在都靈車展舉行Pony和Pony Coupe全球首發。
儘管年代久遠，Pony也在1981年停產，而楔形雙門轎跑Pony Couped更是未曾量產，不過Pony Coupe的復古造型魅力，以及摺紙一般的車身比例和幾何設計細節，仍深深影響了現代品牌後來諸多車款的設計走向，包括目前全球熱銷到缺車的Ioniq 5電動跨界休旅，以及N Vision 74 概念車。
最初Pony Coupe參加車展的展示車已不復存在，因此 GFG Style 將從頭開始復制它。 而談到合作，現代汽車首席創意長 Luc Donckerwolke 表示，我們非常高興地迎來 Giorgetto 和 Fabrizio 來到首爾參加這個難得的場合，我們期待與他們及 GFG Style造型公司合作，開展這個非凡的設計項目。這個項目不僅具有歷史價值，而且還代表了一種跨文化的交流，可以為未來雙方更多的合作鋪平道路。
