上海車展新車-北京現代明年投產HYUNDAI Coupe！

全球各大汽車品牌，在中國由合資廠現地生產的新車，大多數都屬於傳統房車領域，或是確定獲利可以大幅增加的RV車款為主，至於銷售量在全球車壇已經逐步下滑的轎跑車款，在中國由合資品牌現地生產者至今尚未出現！
不過北京現代可能打破這樣的局勢，根據最新消息顯示，北京現代在上海車展的會場上，將對於旗下的HYUNDAI Coupe十分重視，因為在這龐大投資以提升知名度的背後，是一個全新投入的現地生產計畫，而北京現代至少目前已經確認，將在明年投產HYUNDAI Coupe新車。
有趣的是，北京現代目前在中國現地生產的HYUNDAI產品線，包括Sonata、Elantra與Accent，還有Tucson都可以算是搖錢樹，但是在當地的合資品牌來說也都不是獨門貨色，而且根據統計，2006年HYUNDAI在中國賣出的二萬輛進口新車中，居然有超過一半都是HYUNDAI Coupe，顯見當地消費者對於這輛平價化的轎跑車其實有濃厚的興趣。
不過，由於HYUNDAI Coupe也即將進入大改款的週期，預計在明年底實現的北京現代投產計畫中，會以現行車款或是新世代改款車型現地生產，目前包括北京現代與HYUNDAI原廠均尚未正面做出回應。
