2010北京車展報導：中國投產又一例，2011年式HYUNDAI Verna首演

低斜的車身、例落的線條，HYUNDAI即將在中國投產的第三輛車Verna，日前於2010年北京車展進行首演。
經過長達五年在中國市場的深耕，在產品計劃部進行大規模市調後，一輛針對中國消費者品味與需求而設，全新開發由北京HYUNDAI工廠生產的Verna於焉而生。
HYUNDAI副總Euisun Chung表示：「今天對我們來說是個特別的日子，這特別不單在新車款的發表，而是一直以來我們總在韓國進行新車發表，這些年來在我們體認到中國市場之於我們的重要性後，才毅然決定在中國完成這次產品的首發；2009年我們在中國達成了94%的年成長，自2002年起至今更在中國賣了超過200萬輛車，而今我們還要繼續在中國擴展全新車型Verna和 ix35的銷售。」
經新世代Gamma汽油引擎挹注，Verna在不犧牲性能的前提下，將油耗數字降至最低，成為同級車中最省車款。此舉也讓HYUNDAI成為業界節能領導者，更讓其提前兩年達到中國的燃油經濟標準。
Verna搭載的是全鋁合金輕量化結構的1.6L DOHC Gamma引擎，並搭配四速自排變速箱，最大馬力達121hp/6300rpm，15.8kgm的扭力峰值則在4200rpm出現；除了1.6l動力源外，針對經濟車款的買家，Verna還提供1.4L DOHC引擎的入門版本，106hp/6300rpm的最大馬力和13.8kgm/5000rpm的峰值扭力，除了四速自排的基本設定外，還多了五速手排可選。
拜低底盤與流線的車型之賜，讓Verna得以在油耗上有(1.4L)自排版本16.1km/L與手排版本17.5 km/L的亮眼成績；全車在高剛性材料與結構的運用下，不但讓Verna達到超越同級的CNCAP撞擊五顆星水準，在操控上也因為硬朗的車身底盤而有更佳的動態表現。同級車最長軸距、454L的後行李箱空間，讓Verna在流線的外表下卻能保有更勝從前的車室空間。
Verna將於今年七月在HYUNDAI北京廠上線生產，並於今年下半年度在中國接單開賣。
