2012芝加哥車展報導：造型更俐落，HYUNDAI Elantra GT進軍五門掀背車市場

日前HYUNDAI曾表示要在未來的11個月內推出11款新車型，而在今年的芝加哥車展上，HYUNDAI除了發表繼Azera與Genesis Coupe之後的第三款車型─Elantra Coupe外，也讓在歐洲稱為i30的五門掀背車換上Elantra GT之名，與Elantra Coupe攜手登上美洲大陸。
事實上i30早在去年9月的法蘭克福車展就已經在歐洲進行全球首演，不過這次隨著Elantra Coupe一同在芝加哥車展登場的Elantra GT，原廠依舊針對當地的市場需求，在動力規格上做出些許的改變；Elantra GT與Coupe車型相同搭載具有DCCVT可變氣門正時技術的1.8L GDI直四引擎，能夠輸出148hp最大馬力與18.2kgm的峰值扭力，原廠同樣提供六速手排或六速SHIFTRONIC手自排變速箱的選項。在燃油經濟效益方面，Elantra GT擁有市區28mpg（約11.8km/L）、高速39mpg（16.5km/L）的油耗數據，堪稱是凌駕同級車款。
此外，將車室內部空間最大化乃是HYUNDAI近來主要的設計方向，軸距2,650mm，車身尺碼為4,300×1,780×1,470mm的Elantra GT不但擁有完整四到五人座的承載能力，原廠不但特地針對乘坐空間進行加強，也針對車內設計了許多實用的置物空間，包括太陽眼鏡架、前後各兩個置杯架、門板寶特瓶放置設計、保冷功能手套箱、滑動中央扶手等。
另外Elantra GT配備了雙區恆溫空調系統，能夠提供車內乘客在長途旅行時更舒適的乘車感受，而全景式天窗也讓車室內部能讓自然光線灑進車室內部當中，而Elantra GT在安全配備方面也相當豐富，包括ESP電子車身穩定系統、ABS以及VSM車輛穩定管理，並且全車標配七具氣囊，包括雙前座、雙側邊、側邊氣簾以及駕駛座膝部氣囊，安全防護配備相當完整。
