現代汽車預告將推出更大尺寸的中控觸控螢幕，但始終會是合適的尺寸

TESLA是始作俑者，今天各汽車製造商競相為自家車款安裝尺寸超大的中控螢幕，現代設計主管 SangYup Lee 證實，現代正在開發下一世代的中控觸控螢幕，它將會比該品牌目前安裝在新款 Ioniq 9 等車型中的12吋雙螢幕來得更大。
不過SangYup Lee 表示，「合適的尺寸」才是車內中控觸控螢幕最重要的事情，而不是一味地讓它盡可能變大。合適的尺寸使螢幕易於查看和閱讀，內建正確的內容也很重要，整體UX 用戶體驗（User Experience） 也很重要。
整個汽車業界的中控觸控螢幕尺寸一直不斷地在加大，其中最引人注目的當屬賓士的 Hyperscreen最誇張，它橫跨整個儀表台的橫寬。這種寬廣的螢幕並不是現代汽車所計畫的。SangYup Lee補充說，現代汽車仍然重視用於關鍵控制的實體旋鈕和按鍵開關，尤其是那些 “與駕駛安全相關或具有高使用頻率的按鈕和開關，例如加熱器控制和危險警示燈號按鍵。為此，此類開關應「易於使用且角度自然」，以便車土目光始終關注在道路上。
在Ioniq 9 車上，它的中控螢幕是比較寬大的，而這款車是 Seven Concept概念車 的量產版，三年前它在洛杉磯車展上亮相，因此新車也是在那裡全球首發。SangYup Lee表示，他依然重視概念車，因為它們可以讓現代汽車推動並表明我們有一個使命。但最重要的是，量產版必須同樣好。
Ioniq 9 是最新的 Ioniq 車型，與該系列中的其他 Ioniq 車型幾乎沒有相似之處，SangYup Lee表示，它們有一些功能將它們串聯起來，像是包括車頭車尾的像素化燈光處理（pixel light ），以及它們在分市場中擁有同級最長的軸距，以實現最大的車內空間。
不過，避免千篇一律的方法是一種深思熟慮的策略，SangYup Lee表示，現代汽車在設計中是以客戶為中心的，更重要的是，這輛車的設計要盡可能地適合它想要完成的工作，而不是看起來像一個系列中另一個車型的放大或縮小版。
