韓國車廠HYUNDAI在全球的成長速度，可是不容小覷，最近HYUNDAI在中國的合作廠商北京現代汽車廠(BHMC)，僅利用了三年九個月的時間，生產超過60萬輛車，是外國車廠在中國車市的最快生產紀錄。
北京現代汽車廠(BHMC)從2002年12月開始在中國生產汽車，至今年八月底止，共累積了613,073輛，各個年度分別的產量為2002年1002輛、2003年5 2,138輛、2004年14 4,090輛、2005 年為233,668輛。
日本車廠HONDA在1998年七月進入中國市場，大約花了四年三個月的時間突破60萬生產大關，HYUNDAI則提前四個月便已達成，HYUNDAI在中國的第一座工廠已擴充設備至30萬產量的水準，而第二座工廠將於明年11月完工，年產量也將達到30萬輛，合計年產量將超過60萬輛。
