2010年CHEVROLET和HYUNDAI決戰美國！

未來幾年內最受矚目的概念車是誰？事實上令人期待的概念車不只一台，但這些來字不同車廠的汽車，都有一個相同的特點，那就是與「最先進環保」脫不了關係。
被視為能令美國車廠揚眉吐氣的電動概念車CHEVROLET Volt，只需要連續充電六小時，透過110伏特的一般家用插座便能完全充飽電，光靠電力能行駛超過60公里的距離。若是電力耗盡也無須擔心，車上還搭載一升三缸的渦輪引擎能立即進行充電的動作，並且也可使用提煉自農作物的E85酒精燃料做為能源，稱的上是相當具有「未來」精神的汽車。
CHEVROLET Volt計畫在2010年正式推出，許多專家相信Volt車上使用來自LG的鋰電池，將會使全球汽車市場面臨另一波的變動，獨佔市場多年的汽油車，是否會面臨世代交替的轉變期，五年內可以略之一二。但在2010年打算推出複合動力汽車的又何止美國車廠而已，韓國汽車HYUNDAI現正在韓國測試一批Elantra的油電版，希望能趕上全球這一波的節能動向。
HYUNDAI Elantra的油電版，除了選擇與Volt同時間在美國推出之外，也會使用來自LG的鋰電池。HYUNDAI目前雖然尚須解決電池過熱的問題，但卻透露生產鋰電池的成本並不會構成威脅。
