i30 i-Blue以先進的引擎設計來取代一般常見於市場中，各式各樣想要降低廢棄排量的方式。

當全球汽車製造廠都在想著如何降低生產成本，他們在另一手正著手增資研發新的科技來降低廢氣排放，除了是職業道德，其實也是車廠降低生產成本的最根本的方式；而HYUNDAI才剛發表一系列將掛上旗下次品牌i-Blue的環保車，廢氣排量將低於現今120g/km的標準，所標示的價格在多數HYUNDAI的消費者看來，被預期相當的具有競爭力。

HYUNDAI短期目標放在發展更多i-Blue的車系以跨足更廣的市場，並且規劃長期發展氫燃料科技的應用。

i-Blue系列繼2007年法蘭克福車展與2008年日內瓦車展的陸續發表之後，在今年倫敦國際車展之後，打頭陣上市的是搭載1.6升CRDi引擎的掀背車i30 i-Blue，所目標的競爭對手是FORD與VW兩家所推出的環保車系（ECOnetic與BlueMotion）， i30 i-Blue以先進的引擎設計來取代一般常見於市場中，各式各樣想要降低廢棄排量的方式，例如更改輪胎尺寸與降低車身等；而i30 i-Blue除了能為車主節省大筆稅金之外，其價格也是相對經濟，基本車型售價從13155英鎊（約合台幣80.05萬元）起。

而i-Blue標誌也會出現在另一部廢氣值低於120g/km的i10身上，i10的1.2升Kappa汽油引擎將在9月上市，作為HYUNDAI發展子品牌環保車系的延伸；雖然其他已上市的HYUNDAI車系廢氣排量未達i-Blue系列之成效，但單看每個市場的比較，像Santa Fe在SUV市場的廢氣排放已領先其他Hybrid車款；然而HYUNDAI短期目標放在發展更多i-Blue的車系以跨足更廣的市場，並且規劃長期發展氫燃料科技的應用。
