想打S-Class！全新HYUNDAI Equus韓國發表

先前曾經報導，新一代HYUNDAI中大型豪華運動房車Equus即將問世的消息，而Equus於三月16日在韓國首爾正式發表。新Equus在現任韓國總理韓升洙與多達1000位VIP見證下登場，而HYUNDAI投入資金達3.37億美元，為的便是與LEXUS LS460L、M-BENZ S350與BMW740Li等豪門對手較勁，售價韓圜6300萬起跳(約折合新台幣153.5萬)。
新Equus採用Genesis後驅底盤平台而生，車身長度約為5160mm，在動力部份初期共會有兩種選擇，代號為Lambda與Tau，包括Equus Lambda搭載可輸出最大馬力290hp/峰值扭力36.5kgm的3.8升V6引擎，Equus Tau搭載可輸出最大馬力366hp/峰值扭力44.8kgm的4.6升V8引擎，皆搭載六速自動變速系統。此外，Equus Lambda平均油耗9.2km/L，Equus Tau平均油耗8.7 km/L。
新Equus前後皆裝配多連桿懸吊系統，內部結構採用輕且堅固的鋁打造，搭配HYUNDAI與ZF-SACHS聯手開發氣壓電子懸吊系統，雖然讓造車成本增加，但是將可讓Equus展現更為舒適的乘坐感受，更為穩定的操控表現，同時讓車室空間增加。在車用配備部份，新Equus導入VSC車輛穩定控制系統(Vehicle Stability Management)，並且整合LDWS車道偏離警示系統(Lane Departure Warning System)、Pre-Safety預防安全系統、第三代SSC智慧型巡航控制系統(Smart Cruise Control)，再加上包括膝部防護氣囊共全車最多九組氣囊配置。
採用2+2四門座配置將會是新Equus標準車室規格，後座乘客可透過專屬中控台，直接控制獨立空調系統與音響系統。此外，前座中控台上具備大型LCD液晶顯示螢幕，卻沒有許多的按鈕設計，因為許多操作功能已被多功能方向盤所取代，而且Equus更導入綜合BMW i-Drive與M-BENZ Commannd APS的多功能操作旋鈕/控制系統。在配備部份，Equus導入LEXICON高級音響系統（最大功率可輸出500瓦），
新Equus於韓國分為四種等級車款，入門車型為VS380(搭載V6汽油引擎)，頂級旗艦為VS460(搭載V8汽油引擎)，至於未來新Equus長軸版問世時，更將搭載5.0升V8引擎。
HYUNDAI表示，新Equus今年於韓國市場預計將銷售1.3萬輛，直到2010年預計將銷售1.9萬輛，也將於2009下半年進軍中國與中東市場。
