趁勝追擊搶攻年輕市場，HYUNDAI可能於2011洛杉磯車展推出Elantra Coupe

日前AutoNet汽車日報才與讀者提到，在今年五月美國市場單月銷售量報告出爐後，HYUNDAI旗下小型房車Elantra，以單月銷售20,006輛的成績，壓過了TOYOTA Carolla的16,985輛與HONDA Civic的18,341輛，成為HYUNDAI進軍美國市場多年以來最為輝煌的成績。

而近來又有消息傳出，HYUNDAI打算讓主攻經濟市場的Elantra再添新車型，可能將於今年的2011洛杉磯車展推出雙門設計的Elantra Coupe，與同集團的KIA Forte Koup齊力攻佔美國年輕消費族群。事實上，新世代Elantra在首席設計師Nicola Danza操刀之下，並運用上Fluidic sculpture流體雕塑設計，就已展現出十足的運動氣息，若是改為雙門設計，想必更能獲得青睞。
在動力方面，Elantra Coupe估計將沿用現行的1.8L直四引擎，搭配六速手排或六速SHIFTRONIC手自排變速箱，具備148hp/18.1kgm最大動力輸出；此外，還可能推出搭載最新1.6L T-GDI直四缸內直噴渦輪增壓引擎的R-SPEC性能版本，搭配六速手排或六速DCT雙離合器自手排變速箱，可爆發出211hp/27kgm的強悍實力，相較於美國小型Coupe級距中最具代表性的HONDA Civic Coupe Si、或是TOYOTA旗下年輕品牌SCION的tC，也毫不顯遜色。
