為了讓歐洲車廠能夠彼此合作，收到共生共榮之效果，讓歐洲汽車產業更為蓬勃發展，ACEA歐洲汽車製造商協會因此成立。從1991年創立至今，會員已有BMW集團、DAF Trucks、DAIMLER集團、FIAT、FORD歐洲、GM歐洲、MAN Nutzfahrzeuge、PORSCHE、PSA集團、RENAULT、SCANIA、TOYOTA歐洲、VW與VOLVO等，2012年起將會多一個，正是歐洲HYUNDAI。
歐洲HYUNDAI已被核可為ACEA會員，2012年起生效，而HYUNDAI進軍歐洲市場最早可回溯至1977年，至今30多年來已經在歐洲銷售車款超過500萬輛，而其歐洲設計中心位於德國境內，歐洲車輛裝配廠在捷克共和國，HYUNDAI至今已經在該廠投資超過1100萬歐元(約折合新台幣45.5億元)，佔在歐洲銷售HYUNDA車款超過50%。
除了歐洲市場火熱之外，HYUNDAI在全球市場的擴張動作也正持續進行，在美國投資1.73億美元(約新台幣50億元) 擴建Montgomery車輛裝配廠，同時考慮建新廠以擴充產能，放眼台灣市場更將於第三季盛大發表Sonata，其以大膽前衛設計挑戰全球市場，所搭載的安全裝置與引擎高效能，擦亮HYUNDAI招牌。
