2012芝加哥車展搶先報：搶攻年輕市場，HYUNDAI Elantra Coupe即將亮相

先前AutoNet曾報導過，現今已搶進全球前五大車廠的HYUNDAI，著眼於吸引北美年輕消費者，計畫推出新一代Elantra Coupe雙門車型，最新消息指出將會在2012年芝加哥車展首演，與同集團的KIA Forte Koup齊力攻佔美國年輕消費族群。
事實上，新世代Elantra在HYUNDAI首席設計師Nicola Danza操刀之下，並運用上Fluidic sculpture流體雕塑設計，就已展現出十足的運動氣息，若是改為雙門設計，想必更能獲得青睞。在動力方面，Elantra Coupe估計將沿用現行的1.8L GDI直四引擎，搭配六速手排或六速SHIFTRONIC手自排變速箱，具備148hp/18.1kgm最大動力輸出。
此外，HYUNDAI還可能為Elantra Coupe推出搭載最新Gamma 1.6 T-GDI直四渦輪增壓汽油引擎的R-SPEC性能版本，在導入了雙渦流增壓、缸內直噴、雙CVVT可變氣門正時等技術之後，動力輸出達到204hp/6000rpm最大馬力與27.0kgm/1750rpm峰值扭力，並可選擇搭配六速手排或六速自排變速箱，相較於美國小型Coupe級距中最具代表性的HONDA Civic Coupe Si、或是TOYOTA旗下年輕品牌SCION的tC，也毫不顯遜色。
