1.6 T-GDI Turbo引擎加持，HYUNDAI Veloster變身小鋼砲！

HYUNDAI於日前宣佈，將全新雙渦流增壓技術注入這款1.6 T-GDI Turbo渦輪引擎搭載於已在三月發售的HYUNDAI平價跑車Veloster上，進一步提升Veloster的動力輸出表現。全新的1.6 T-GDI Turbo缸內直噴渦輪引擎讓Veloster的馬力輸出提升到211hp，扭力也提升至27kgm。
而這全新引擎也是HUYNDAI Blue Drive計畫成果之一，最大的特色在於低轉速時能夠確實減低耗油，進一步減少排放量。搭全新的1.6 T-GDI Turbo渦輪引擎後，使得Veloster的動力表現能夠與VW旗下搭載2.0 TFSI引擎的Golf GTI以及Scirocco不分軒輊。這款全新的引擎也預計搭載於2013年式的HUYNDAI i30以及KIA的新一代Ceed上。
雖然目前台灣部分仍在評估Veloster的導入與否，但依韓國報價1940萬韓元至2100萬韓元之間(約新台幣50.9萬至55.0萬元)，倘若引進台灣在同級車售價方面相信也具有相當的競爭力，以較低的售價搶攻在台灣年輕族頗受歡迎的小鋼砲車款市場。
