政府、企業上下一心！韓國政府攜手HYUNDAI集團開啟電動車新時代

為迎接電動汽車時代的到來而進行準備，韓國政府、企業現階段正在積極投入電動車的研發與建設電動車充電站等基礎設施的工程，而且韓國政府已經決定將由HYUNDAI集團作為電動車開發計畫的重點企業，並以2014年進行量產為目標，提供開發電動車的稅制優待等政策，並且同時決定今年底前於全國各地建設204個電動車充電站。

事實上，為了在電動車時代搶先卡位佈局，全球各主要車廠們早已先後展開了方面的研究，而在全球車壇也扮演重要角色的韓國自然也是不甘落後，政府與民間企業也正在竭盡全力地投入相關的研發工作。同時建構高效率且規格統一的充電設施，提供電動車廣泛使用與發展的重要基礎。
從本屆法蘭克福車展當中，可以見到全球各主要車廠都推出了電動車款作為參展的主軸，儘管距離真正的量產以及上市階段還有一段時間，但也已經確立了電動車這種採用最新技術研發的零污染車款，將會是未來車壇的明日之星。
而在電動車發展扮演相當關鍵角色的電池技術，目前韓國相關企業更是擁有相當的領先優勢，尤其是LG甚至已經與BOSCH成為合作戰略伙伴，並已確定將供應未來BMW i3所使用的鋰離子電池，而且像是GM集團旗下、已經開始進行量產販售的CHEVROLET Volt增程電動車，也是使用由LG所製造的電池技術，可以看出韓國汽車產業已經顯然具備發展電動車的優勢。
