    MR暴力鋼砲再現?HYUNDAI Veloster中置引擎版本遭直擊

2014年釜山車展上HYUNDAI展出了一輛以Veloster為基礎,由HYUNDAI High Performance Team高性能部門所打造的Veloster Midship Concept,顛覆了既有2+1座的掀背跑車認知,捨棄後座並裝載一具將近300hp馬力輸出的2.0L Theta GDI渦輪增壓引擎,成為新一代中置鋼砲狂想曲。然而當時HYUNDAI卻表示這項中置引擎計劃僅僅做為展示HYUNDAI實力與Veloster底盤的發展潛力,並沒有相關MR跑車的發展計劃,如今這項發言似乎被一張張實際捕捉的測試偽裝車給打破。

近日於網路上流傳著一組於韓國當地捕捉的車輛測試照片,照片中的車輛明顯身披著與現行Veloster十足接近的外觀樣貌,但在前後葉子板部份卻是大有不同,更為外擴的造型設計讓這輛Veloster肌肉感十足,衍然一副終極鋼砲的模樣。然而更令人吃驚的是在後葉子板部分竟然開了長條狀的進氣孔造型,也讓中置引擎板Veloster即將量產問世的傳言不脛而走。從造型上來看,這輛疑似中置引擎的Veloster在造型設計上與當時甫山車展所展出的Veloster有著相當程度的雷同,因此這輛車極有機會屬於HYUNDAI正私下進行測試的測試版車型。

事實上這類中置引擎超級鋼砲一向是歐系車廠RENAULT的拿手好戲,其中最為知名的莫過於搭載3.0L V6引擎的Clio V6 Renault Sport,在極短的軸距內塞進馬力輸出達255hp的V6引擎,讓這款超級鋼砲有著難以親近的性能表現,而這樣的特性卻恰好讓Clio V6在車壇上留下獨特的地位,至於更早期的RENAULT 5 Turbo則更是堪稱車壇中的經典之作。

若Veloster在未來真的推出中置引擎版本,那麼動力將有機會延用概念車的2.0L Theta GDI渦輪增壓引擎,馬力輸出介於280-300hp之間而成為韓系車款在性能方面的代表作品。當然了光憑幾張照片並無法排除這輛Veloster僅徒具外觀,並出自改裝車廠進行空力套件開發的可能性,但所謂有夢最美、若HYUNDAI發表中置引擎Veloster那麼將瞬間獲得全球車壇矚目成為焦點。
