說起台灣的平價跑車風雲史，在1997年RV風潮開始逐步侵蝕傳統乘用車市場之後，原本擁有穩定市場空間的百萬元以下性能轎跑車市場，也受到前所未有的強力壓縮，想想以前的風光歲月吧！無論是三菱Eclipse，還是MAZDA MX-6，在這些車輛已經漲價或走入歷史之際，現代Coupe的出現，讓過去平價跑車迷們，有了一個堅持品味與生活風格的好藉口！！

上一代現代Coupe，以優異的操控表現（現代原廠商請PORSCHE協助懸吊調校）以及渾圓流線的車身造型著稱，不過到了目前引進國內的新一代Coupe，將新世代性能車款講究的線條感與優雅重新詮釋，這一代的現代Coupe利用鑿痕與巧奪天工的車身切線，讓車身造型更增添成熟感與個性化的風格，雖然看起來並沒有上一代車型的流線，但是從後方45度角您會不經意地發現FERRARI 456GT的影子，有別於過去年輕化的個人性能座駕風格，全新現代Coupe已經略具備頂級GT轎跑車的架式，不僅更具有優雅的體態（就是廣告中提及-夢想的黃金比例！），更呈現出新世紀性能座駕更成熟的面貌，而且這一代現代Coupe的首要對手，也就是在國內汽車市場缺席的豐田Celica，也被歐美媒體視為是當今車壇上平價性能跑車的瑜亮組合！！

由於現代Coupe在不同的市場也擁有不同的名號，譬如在歐美它叫做Tiburon，在韓國本土叫做Tuscani，這也是為何在車頭與車尾中央，各出現一個圓形T字標徽的原因，當然這也讓Coupe本身擁有一個更獨立的個性與識別，在試駕的大紅色車身上顯得十分突出，更不時有好奇的路人與民眾探詢，可見現代Coupe在造型設計上的功力，以及搭配火紅色車身塗裝加倍亮眼的Eye Catch效果！！
