HYUNDAI中型豪華房車XG，自推出後就在韓國與北美佔有一席之地，雖然在國內2.0升級距市場成績持平，但無論國內外車主與汽車媒體對HYUNDAI XG的評價都非常高，因此，導入XG國產化的南陽實業目前也跟隨北美市場同步進行了外觀與細部改款，相信長久的努力下來，一定會讓消費者了解這款中型豪華房車的優勢，並進而選擇這款口碑與稱譽極佳的好車。

2004年式樣的XG，在外觀方面並沒有重大更動，由於XG的造型線條在國外受到相當的推崇，並且HYUNDAI在設計XG之初，就是以日本LEXUS為師法，並以向GS車系看齊為目標而研發，因此在外型方面融合了純歐式的古典與高雅風味，內裝與組裝品質方面更擁有足以凌駕百萬級房車的實力；在引進台灣國產後，由於是由製造VW T4的慶眾代工，因此組裝品質完全比照德國VW的嚴苛要求，在增加DVD影音系統與天窗及胡桃木真皮內裝後，試駕過XG的車主幾乎很難相信這是一款國產車。

除了胡桃木式樣等內裝與配備的更動外，2004年XG改款的重點在於頭燈組排列修改、車頭水箱護罩、尾燈組及車外鍍鉻飾條面積的增加，讓整車看上去質感更佳，同時下氣壩也融合更運動化的投射式霧燈組，鋁圈式樣也改用放射狀的跑車化設計，為XG添增年輕的氣息。至於動力系統方面仍維持2.0升設定，尚未跟隨國外增列3.5升V6引擎。

除了豪華座駕XG的小改款，2004年對於南陽現代來說也是鴻圖大展的一年，特別是今年已確定將於第二季前正式發表由歐洲隆重導入國產化的重量級小型掀背車Getz（預估售價在35萬到45萬元之間），另外HYUNDAI旗下最高級旗艦Equus也正式獲接單引進，同時還有一款國產SUV的計劃，南陽實業表示，2004年南陽在HYUNDAI原廠的強力支援下，重回國產前五大是志在必得！
