紐約車展新車-HYUNDAI Accent要咬著豐田Echo不放！

現代全新小車，造型更像豐田，不過它在北美市場的最大對手，也是豐田Echo！
|
在本屆紐約車展推出的全新世代HYUNDAI Accent，其實就是現代在北美市場，用來對付豐田小車Echo，也就是國產Vios北美表哥的入門小型房車，當然因應集團化的趨勢，Accnet的底盤與大部分的組件，也都與已經在北上市的KIA Rio共用。
由北美現代設計中心主導的新一代HYUNDAI Accent車系，瞄準的全球小型房車市場，當然也包括了中國，不過在中國市場的未來產品方面，現代集團目前也尚未確定是要選擇HYUNDAI Accent還是KIA Rio，因為以上上一代HYUNDAI Accent為基礎衍生的東風悅達起亞千里馬小車，曾經在當地成為全中國最暢銷的小車！
為了一改過去小車空間狹窄的印象，原廠這次大膽地讓新一代Accent的車身長度增加了51mm，當然也企圖讓Accent成為北美「最大的小車」，此外車身寬度也增加25mm，高度也提升了76mm左右，不但提供同級車中最大的乘坐空間（2956公升，接近國產1.6/1.8升房車！），同樣也具備了大容積多變化的行李置物空間（後廂容積381公升）。
動力系統方面，原廠在美規車系直接植入了1.6升的直列四缸CVVT可變氣門引擎，提供同級對手中最強大的110hp最大馬力與14.7kgm的峰值扭力。
另外，在安全防護方面，更領先對手配置包括側邊氣簾在內的六具防護氣囊，再度創下美國境內小車的第一。
此外，全新設計的雙彩內裝，搭配金屬飾板，提供同級車中最佳的質感，而且更刻意將中控台面板位置提升，讓駕駛人使用更便利。

以小車來說，這樣的內裝配置，已經相當地豪華精緻，雖然沒有假木紋，卻也別具質感。
