HYUNDAI計畫投資一億美元於印度廠投產新柴油引擎！

隨著台灣導入歐規環保柴油，可以說在國產柴油車領域已經締造最高市場佔有率的韓國HYUNDAI品牌，其CRDi引擎更因為結合VGT可變幾何渦輪增壓系統，以大扭力與環保節能表現提升市場銷售表現，尤其在歐洲市場更成為亞洲汽車品牌擁有最高佔有率的汽車品牌。
根據最新外電消息指出，韓國HYUNDAI集團日前正式宣佈，為了降低歐規柴油引擎的生產成本，並且希望可以讓更多消費者可以享用這項環保節能動力科技，將投資約一億美元導入更多生產設備，並且確保物流與相關零組件可以提供更高的效能，這一些努力全部都是為了要在印度當地大舉投產歐規環保柴油引擎。
此外，這項計畫預計最快可在2013下半年完成並且順利投產柴油引擎，當地引擎廠將投產排氣量分別為1.1L、1.4L與1.6L的CRDi共軌柴油動力心臟，初期年產能約為每年15萬具，此外這也成為2013年以前HYUNDAI計畫在印度發表至少五款新車計畫的重要部分。
最快明年底前，HYUNDAI將率先於當地市場推出搭載柴油動力心臟的i10都會掀背小車，這也將成為當地該級距首款環保柴油動力產品。
