打造綠色建築，美國HYUNDAI總部2013年啟用

HYUNDAI近日公佈座落美國加州芳泉谷的新總部大樓電腦繪製圖，此嶄新大樓將會耗資超過1.5億美元(約折合新台幣45.4億元)興建，同時也將成為在美興建辦公大樓的最大金額建案之一。此外，美國HYUNDAI執行長John Krafcik表示，HYUNDAI的投資代表著深耕美國市場的強烈決心。
美國HYUNDAI新總部是由聞名全球的建築與設計公司Gensler著行進行規劃與操刀，佔地達到41.9萬平方公尺，而為了讓嶄新大樓總部能夠達到最頂尖的節能與環保效益，更是以符合LEED(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)認證進行建設，以期能夠取得綠色建築認證，呼應其竭盡所能致力環保節能的品牌形象。
其外觀設計融合時尚、現代與經典等元素，從外觀可見是一棟方正且以半透明玻璃為主體的大樓，取其能夠擁有相當良好的自然採光，同時避免受到陽光直射與產生溫室效應因而室內溫度升高的問題。而其達到兩層樓高的入口，搭配大樓前廣場的公共空間，隨時可以進行HYUNDAI新車款之展示，預計2013年秋天完工啟用。
