2012 SEMA改裝車展搶先報：勁辣升級，COSWORTH將推出〝終極〞HYUNDAI Genesis Coupe

隨著時間進入10月份，也代表著距離每年在美國內華達州的拉斯維加斯所舉辦的SEMA改裝車展只剩下不到一個月的時間，在這個美國最大的改裝車盛會當中，可是包含了各大小品牌的改裝作品，今年來自英國的知名引擎設計、製造廠COSWORTH也預計遠渡大西洋前往美國參展。
COSWORTH則是選擇了HYUNDAI品牌當中唯二後驅車型中的Genesis Coupe下手進行改裝，而COSWORTH也宣稱這款〝終極〞Genesis Coupe將會以富涵賽事基因的COSWORTH Genesis Racing Series Concept概念車登場，不過既然是知名引擎製造廠的改裝作品，最受人矚目的還是在動力核心的部分。
這款Genesis Coupe雖然維持原先3.8L V8缸內直噴汽油引擎的配置，但在COSWORTH的調校下，將原先345hp/40.8kgm的最大輸出，提升到最大馬力389hp/6,400rpm、峰值扭力45.0kgm/5,100rpm的水準，在讓動力性能向上提升的同時，也維持了Genesis Coupe能夠合法上路的設定。
而根據現階段的設計圖當中，COSWORTH也針對了Genesis Coupe在外觀上進行了小幅度的修改，包括在前保桿、前下擾流、霧燈座、車頂、側裙、小鴨尾尾翼以及後下導流板，都改為碳纖維材質進行打造，並且換上四出式排氣尾管增添性能風格；而在煞車、懸吊系統的部分都採取了運動化處理，並且配備賽車及輕量化鋁圈。
在2011年底，HYUNDAI原廠為Genesis Coupe進行小改款後，在樣貌上導入了流體雕塑設計語彙的外衣，可說是更具有銳利化的跑格，COSWORTH會看上Genesis Coupe推出改裝作品，更是看上了其經濟實惠的特性；不過可惜的是國內消費者依然是與這款韓系跑車無緣，只能看看過乾癮。
