2013紐約車展搶先報：韓系旗艦再升級，HYUNDAI Equus小改款車型預告亮相

雖然HYUNDAI這個品牌乍看之下與所謂的豪華可能不會有太大的關係，但事實上，這個來自韓國的品牌可說是相當積極的往高級車的方向發展，其中Equus便是最好的例證；現行第二代Equus自2009年3月上市至今已有四年的時間，雖說並沒有對其他品牌的高階車種造成實質上的威脅，但已充分表現出這間韓系車場的企圖心；而近日HYUNDAI則是預告，將在3月底展開的紐約車展上推出小改款的Equus。
雖然只是小改款車型，但根據HYUNDAI表示，小改款車型將會擁有超過30個新的與強化的功能，同時在車輛的外觀設計、內裝質感、動力技術以及安全防護規格上，都會有相當幅度的修改與進化，也難怪原廠仍是煞有其事的發表了一張在黑暗中若隱若現的預告。
事實上，在2012年底時HYUNDAI在韓國當地就曾推出過Equus小改款車型，合理推測會有不少改變延用至美規車型上，包括更為簡潔洗練的外觀樣貌、改為雙縫線設計的真皮內裝，而方向盤造型、儀錶配置、內裝木質飾板、中控台部分的操作介面配置也重新修正，並增添BSD盲點警示系統與可顯示時速及導航資訊的HUD抬頭顯示器等配備。
至於美規車型在動力部分，推測仍延用Tau系列代號G8BE、排氣量5038c.c.的V8 GDi缸內直噴汽油引擎，在導入缸內直噴技術與雙連續可變氣門正時系統後，動力輸出為430hp/6400rpm最大馬力與52.0kgm/5000rpm峰值扭力，並搭配HYUNDAI自家開發的八速手自排變速箱。
