固態電池開發競賽韓國現代汽車衝第一,預計下個月將推出

現代汽車將於下個月推出其首款固態電池,承諾與今天產品尺寸相似的電池組具有更長的續航里程和更快的充電速度。3月9日,這現代車將在京畿道開設新的義王研究中心,下一代電池將在該中心的生產線上進行測試。而現代汽車也將在那裡首次展示被稱為「夢幻電池」的固態電池組。
根據韓國媒體 ET News 報導指出,使用其中一種固態電池的電動車預計將在今年內開始測試,這些電池組的批量生產預計將於 2030 年開始。作為回應,韓國現代汽車的一位官員告訴 ET News,相關的時程表目前還沒有決定。
固態電池被視為電動車的聖杯,和今天普遍使用的鋰離子電池組相比,它的構成變得簡化:液體被固體塊取代,它比同類產品重量更輕,同時可以在相同容量內,攜帶更多的能量。固態元素的反應也比液態低,因此如果被刺穿或加熱,它也不太可能會被點燃。
這意味著,以現代 Ioniq 5 為例,其續航里程可能會比今天的 84kWh 電池組提供的續航里程增加一倍。又或者重量可能會減半,而其 512公里的續航里程保持不變。更重要的是,這些電池的到來將使現代汽車在電池供應方面實現自給自足,目前,他們還得從CATL寧德時代、LG Energy Solution 等公司購買電池組。
