現代Matrix在國內車壇異軍突起，不僅單月訂單超過1200台，並成為同級RV車銷售冠軍；短短上市5個月即進入2003J.D.POWER 台灣新車魅力排名，證明了Matrix的產品特色確實迎合新一代消費者的需求﹔以其獨樹一幟的造型風格，以及落點適中的價位，開創了一個全新的市場級距。
為感謝消費者對現代Matrix的支持與愛護，三陽特針對汽車時尚需求，於2003聖誕前夕，推出04年式全新Matrix 1.8 車款─SAFARI仕樣車，及重低音仕樣車與備置藍芽通訊系統的1.8LGLS-G等車款；讓現代Matrix提前與您歡度銀白聖誕，並迎接全新的一年。
Matrix車款所擁有的許多創意設計，多集中在「空間」與「收納」的功能面上。在國產化作業上更發揮一些趣味點，像是符合年輕族群口味的車色或配備等等。國產化車型更進一步提出了「新品種轎旅車」的全新主張，再輔以更具吸引力的價格策略來乘勝追擊。
SAFARI仕樣車—
1.8 GLS-F車款，係以1.8 GLS-B為基準再加上：專屬新車色+雙色塗裝+頭枕烙印+專屬銘版腳踏墊。
重低音仕樣車—
1.8 GLS-E車，款係以1.8 GLS-F為基準再加上：重低音喇叭+藍芽通訊系統(限量生產)。
藍芽通訊系統--1.8 GLS-G車款，係以1.8 GLS-B換裝藍芽。
